The European Parliament's legal committee voted on Tuesday to waive the immunity of MEP Grzegorz Braun. It is about the suspicion of committing six crimes, including a violation of the bodily integrity of a doctor in a hospital in Oleśnica. The final decision will be made by the entire chamber.

In October, a hearing of Braun was held in front of the legal committee in the European Parliament behind closed doors in connection with the procedure for waiving his immunity.

The motion to waive the immunity of Braun was sent to the Chamber in June this year by the then Attorney General and Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar. It is about deprivation of liberty, violation of bodily integrity, insult and order of the doctor Gizela Jagielska in April 2025 at the District Hospital Team in Oleśnica.
