At a hospital in Rome, a worker died on the night of Monday to Tuesday, excavated after nearly 11 hours from the rubble of a partially collapsed medieval tower.

The tragic disaster happened around an hour on Monday. 11.20. Part of the famous Torre dei Cont tower standing near the Colosseum collapsed. The medieval building was under renovation, only workers were on the site.

The tower's fragments collapsed twice. Several workers were inundated. Firefighters combed the debris with their hands to get to the trapped people. In the beginning, three of them were released. The last 66-year-old man was recovered after 11 hours. He was in serious condition. The man died in hospital.
