Krzysztof Bachmiński, one of the defenders.

- This is an unusual case that will go to the annals of the Polish justice system - says Krzysztof Bachmiński.

8 years of appeal hearing

For 20 years, the Polish prosecutor’s office and the courts have been dealing with the case of one patient – Jerzy Ziobra, the father of Zbigniew Ziobra, a former minister of justice and a prosecutor general in the rule of the Law and Justice party. So much time was devoted to explaining the circumstances of his treatment and answering the question whether four Krakow doctors made mistakes in the treatment, which - according to the Ziobr family - caused the death of the patient. All four have been in charge for more than a dozen years, after the Ziobr family, after the prosecution dropped the investigation twice, directed a private indictment against them.
